How much does it cost and what is included?
If you decide to join us after the free taster rehearsals, the Autumn 2026 membership fee is £105, payable in three instalments of £35. Alternatively, you can pay for the full season upfront for £95, saving £10.
The season includes 16 rehearsals, each lasting 1.5 hours.
Please make your first payment by Sunday 20 September.
Do I need singing experience?
No previous singing experience is required. If you sing in the shower, that counts.
Do I need to read music?
Not necessarily. We use sheet music in rehearsals, so being able to read music is definitely an asset, but it’s not a requirement. We also provide video practice materials to help you learn your part.
Is there an audition?
No. There are no auditions to join the choir.
Can I come to a rehearsal before joining?
Yes! We have an Open Day on 31 August, where you can meet the choir, ask questions and do some singing with us. We’ll then have two free taster rehearsals on 7 and 14 September, so you can experience a full rehearsal before deciding whether you’d like to join for the season.
Can I join during the season?
Once registration has closed, we don’t accept new members during the season. This allows the whole choir to work on the programme together and prepare for our performances.
What happens after I fill in the form?
We’ll contact you by email with all the details about the taster rehearsal and joining the choir. Please double-check that you’ve entered the correct email address so our message reaches you.
What voice part should I choose?
Don’t worry if you don’t know your voice part; we’ll help. Soprano, alto, tenor, bass… or “I have no idea” are all perfectly acceptable starting points.
Do I need to practise at home?
It’s strongly advised. We provide practice materials, and spending some time with your part between rehearsals will help you feel more confident and get much more out of the choir. Your future self at the concert will be very grateful.
Do you perform?
Yes. We usually perform 2–3 times a year. Our next concerts are on 5 December and 20 December.
